Se i precedenti "Black Cherry" (2003) e "Supernature" (2005) rappresentavano prodotti ad hoc per scatenare le piste da ballo dei club di tutto il continente, ecco che con "Seventh Tree" si chiude e si completa la storia cominciata con l'esordio folgorante di "Felt Mountain" (2000). Più che un poker possiamo dunque considerare la discografia dei Goldfrapp come una doppia coppia, giocata appunto su due precisi e opposti stili musicali. Una fuga dai dancefloor affollati e luccicanti e una corsa verso la natura, su qualche altura isolata con evocativi scorci di paesaggio: questo in estrema sintesi il percorso stilistico dei Goldfrapp....

If the preceding “Black Cherry” (2003) and “Supernature” (2005) represented ad hoc products to drive clubs dance floors completely crazy, all over the continents, here “Seventh Tree” closes and completes the story, which began with the striking debut “Felt Mountain” (2000). Like poker, we can consider the albums of Goldfrapp to be like a double couple, played on two precise and opposite styles of music. Two of the albums flee onto the dance floor, crowded and shimmering, and the others run through nature, on some isolated rises with evocative glimpse of landscape: this, more or less, summarises the stylistic route of Goldfrapp. ...
